Self employed is the most overrated trend cookie cutters promote now days. It’s 10x stress of a 9-5 with much more work required. U can do my gay 9-5 with minimal effort and take home a guaranteed check. Who wants to make their entire life revolve around whether or not they will get a paycheck this week, or how much it will be? Don’t want to answer emails or think about work at 7am or 10pm like you said.

it’s definitely not worth the hassle for anything less than double the pay of a 9-5
90% of business fail. The ones that do succeed take on average 2 years just to make any kind of profit and it takes around 5 years to start making the pay of the average person in that industry. Yeah, I’ll stick with a guaranteed salary and longer life expectancy due to the lower stress of not having any money for 5 years or a 90% chance of failing.

now, it’d be a different story if you had a business with employees doing the work for you and earning big bucks from doing nothing…that would be worth bragging about…I have friends in that position and hats off to them, but they walked through fire for years to make it happen
