OOOOH, I have met people in real life that try to act cool and impress people by literally rehashing stand up bits and peppering them into conversations.
My cousin started to do that for awhile. I’d sit back and go “Yep, that is a Stanhope bit, uh huh, and that was a Mitch Hedberg bit…etc.”
What a strange phenomenon that is. Brad is like my cousin in certain ways.
Bitter, Sour, Righteously Indignant, Too cool for school schtick. Brad takes it to the state of the Curmudgeon. Always bitching and bemoaning about little things that no one gives a fuck about all while exclaiming “who gives a fuck?” Try hard comedy hack personality.
I think he thinks he is being funny by being an overly critical, sarcastic, asshat. I have no other explanation why he has adopted this persona for the camera and or in real life.
I never liked Brad. He was always so fucking negative I couldn’t imagine smoking a joint or having a drink with that dude… Talk about a drag
He modeled his opinions and persona greatly off of George Carlin’s acerbic comedy.
