I knew a guy exactly like Rod in high school. First gen Mexican American with a weird arrogance about being smarter than the average spic. He’d sign up for advanced placement classes but his grades were shit. Wasn’t a bully or anything, just wasn’t pleasant to be around, very annoying and self-important. I will say he did extremely well with women. He was a 6’3 highschooler (which is probably where the arrogance comes from) so that probably helped but he was able to land lots of girls in older grades. He would be a perfect scam salesman like Rod. See lots of similarities between him and Rod besides height.
