Closer to ancient Carthagians or Berbers etc. But ancient Egyptian also belongs to the Afroasiatic language family so it is very distantly related to semitic languages still… They were definitely not European white in a sense of like Greeks or whatever and they were also not dark like Subsaharan Africans.
