Ancient people of Egypt were really close genetically to today’s Egypt population… which makes sense. They are not Arab though, Egypt got arabized much later in history.
Mixture of North African/mediterranean population. Closer to ancient Carthagians or Berbers etc. But ancient Egyptian also belongs to the Afroasiatic language family so it is very distantly related to semitic languages still…
They were definitely not European white in a sense of like Greeks or whatever and they were also not dark like Subsaharan Africans. Basically tan.
