I think he used to be a hard worker. Mike Tits said Lenny busted his ass when he worked at the hospital with him (though that was like 20+ yrs ago).
Lenny might have had that boomer thing where he took pride in how hard he works at his job, even if it was a dead end job.
I believe him when he said he did some work that others didnt want to do.
But there was no way he could work well in his last 2-3 yrs at the hospital, given how sluggish and stiff he became, he couldnt even bend over to pick stuff up.
Even with that, i dont think he worked any worse than the average PM though. Im on Brad with this issue: they fired him because he was getting paid a lot simply by having over 25 yrs of experience at that place.
Firing him meant that they could hire some haitian fresh off a boat and pay him like 1/3 of what they paid Lenny.
I could be wrong, but we know that Lenny wasnt lazy with training and diet. I think his laziness came from a crippling fear of initiative/change. I see a lot of myself in Lenny, not the tranny/drugs/dirty floor stuff but rather how unwilling to change he was because he felt like he didnt deserve anything good unless it was given to him.
