I dont think they were ever capable of being mainstream. Their main attractions were Lenny, Jason and Jay- I can’t see even 2 of them being reliable enough to have on a consistent schedule, even if they were getting paid.

They definitely could have pushed for more sponsorships like they did towards the end. But like you said they were inept when it came to the internet, they thought all advertising had to go through YouTube itself. If they were in their prime during 2026 I’m sure a lot of companies would want to sponsor them
Rich Piano spent two decades hustling a living, until he reached his freakiest point, went viral with Mutant nutrition or whatever it was and then blew up, before unfortunately dying of death.
Big Lenny, Collura etc peaked a decade early and then too lazy to spam social media.
Before Janoy got Baker acted he was on the content machine, freakier by day, condo diaries etc.

I think on one level Andrew started all that in order to make friends. Obviously he was very lonely. Especially after Gideon moved away. As soon as the Channel provided him, first with internet friends and second with real life friends he wasn’t really in the mood for it anymore.
He often mentioned Brad being his best friend and he would trust him with everything, which was weird considering they were only knowing each other for few years and before were best case gym pals.
