No, it’s because it’s way too expensive and/or the regulations make it illegal.
Where i live, most cities straight up ban the AC units that are placed outside your apartment/house.
And if they don’t, they have a clause that you have to ask every neighbor in your apartment block or the adjacent houses for permission to install the AC. If one person says no, you’re fucked.
So either you have one of those units that are installed inside your home (very expensive) or you gotta have a fully detached house with no neighbors around, which is difficult considering how insanely densely populated europe is compared to america.
I’ve read plenty of posts online of americans coming to europe for the summer in some air bnb, paying for AC and then being horrified by the cost of it a month later huehue. And that’s WITH their american wages. Imagine being a europoor engineer earning 30k/year and having to pay that.
Sorry for your condolences brother. I didn’t even think they made new houses without AC, since the technology is there and widely available and even Section 8 shitholes have it. A replacement unit (outside blower plus inside coil, lines, refrigerant and such to cool the whole house) probably costs over 10k nowdays here but they last 20+ years with good maintenance. Well worth it.
What’s your electric cost anyways? I got about a 1900 square foot house and with AC running all summer its usually about $250ish per month. I hate summer because it’s usually like 50 buck all other times of year.
You are completely missing the point. It’s not about comfort or making sense or using technology. It’s about limiting what people can do in the name of saving the planet or whatever. That’s how every decision is taken here.
Anything that fucks us over, humiliates us etc is good for politicians.

Oh I get it, I just don’t understand why you would even build a building without central air now days. Thats just stupid. American mind can’t comprehend that.
I’d probably have mold in my house like Lenny if I didn’t run the AC with how much humidity is here in the summer unfortunately.
They just tell people to insulate their house better.
That being said, ive been in a passive house/office before and it’s actually ok without AC during the day for 95+% of the summer. But insulating a house that well costs a fortune. So again, it’s only for the rich.

In several countries they’ve made laws ordering to reduce cattle population by 50% because of muh global warming. But they’ll put us on welfare and feed us lab grown meat. 100 years ago in 1926 the world population was 2 billion with Europeans accounting for 30% of the world population - so in the span of 100 years the world population has multiplied 4 times over to 8 billion with whites dropping to 12% of the world population. What’s scary is a lot of the shit skins are in fact propped up by whites, despite us being a minority. We donate money, wells, food, medicine, clothing, etc. Obviously us whites don’t want to go extinct - but it’s not in the interest of Africans etc either, because then who will prop up their populations? I think most of us whites actually kind of want to go extinct. Universal white guilt together with white savior complex. A real savior kills of his own young, so that the mutts may have a chance. That is what has been pushed down our throats and minds for over 200 years.
Europe could have increased birthrates with financial and other things, if they had wanted that. But no, free love, condoms, destruction of the nuclear family, pill and now destruction of sexual organs and sterilisation with chemicals even among white children, that have been brainwashed.
It is not even a left or right thing. Left radical communist countries always have been massively nationalistic and at least much concerned with increasing their own populace to send them in other regions to occupy those regions. Russians did that, Chinese did that. You could also say South Americans do that.
