Nobody knows for sure. Big Rahb declared his innocence when he appeared in 2 videos with Lenny filmed by Prince, you can find it on Lenny Channel.
in reality Lenny did not get fired. Cause he did not work for the hospital, but for the food company that had a contract with the hospital. So he got the opportunity to work at another branch but never showed up. I suppose that was when Lenny was really really not able to actually work anymore. It is very well possible that he was just let go due to weak work performance and him crashing down 2017 and then making a fool of himself in the very same hospital he worked.
He also already got one time demoted within the food company itself, since the work is just an entry level blue collor immigrant position and he was at least once a “supervisor”, but lost this position very quickly after that.
We saw how bad Lennys health was after 2017 Ruby, we saw how he further destroyed himself with PEDs, Drugs and Medications no humand should EVER consume. We saw how he almost died on the way to Olympia in 2018 and then 2019 he was just a huge mess.
I think he would havelost his job either way, cause his UNTREATED heart, liver and diabetUS issues combined to his unhealthy lifestyle was a ticking time bomb.
In one of the last lives he said he lost his health insurance, cause his doctor reported him for not complying, cause he refused to take the medications except for Insulin, which - ironically - he only needed cause he abused it in the first place and made himself a Diabetic.
Lenny just screwed himself so hard in every aspect of life. Stinky here can tell you how difficult Lenny also was to being helped. He was extremely lazy, technically inept and not willing to learn (remember how often he said, yeah now he got a camera now he will learn to edit etc. lmao samewith yeah he will get the PASSPORT SOOON, TRUST ME!)

Bro any job where you’re handling low quality food is always assumed to come with free food as extra compensation. Besides place like these throw away tons of food, it hardly counts as stealing.

I worked at a truck stop for like 3 years and people took an ungodly amount of food home. Didn’t Lenny say he would eat like 4 turkey sandwiches a day on the clock.

Lenny was sent a dell computer during the early podcasts and never put it to good use. When he was making bank from cameos he still needed Brads help because was to lazy to do it alone (which is sad because Brad said he was good at it).
Robzilla and McCuck both said you can never count on Lenny even when you re trying to set up something good for him.
About the job, Brayud said he was offered a position in a different hospital (as a way to make him leave without firing him) but didnt want to take it because it was farther away. Lou wanted to threaten legal action by saying Lenny was being discriminated against (using the lgbt angle), but Lenny would have had to claim to be bisexual or whatever. Things were so pozzed and globohomo back then that i think it would have worked.
But yeah i think you are right when you say he would have probably lost his job regardless since he eventually became borderline crippled anyway.
He also never invested in a retirement (he wanted more money for food and drugs) and fumbled the insurance like you said. And since he technically quit he couldnt get welfare (and even if he was eligible, you can bet he was too lazy to apply for it).
Lenny burned every bridge and sabotaged every oportunity he had, from wrestling in Japan after his school, the military (dishonorable discharge), acting (with Collura), having his own rich oil prince sugar daddy (Aladdin).
It’s mind boggling how bad Lenny destroyed his life. I still blame his dad for a lot of it. Sure Lenny himself is still guilty but i think his dad made him feel so miserable that Lenny never taught he could make it anywhere.

in the end lenny was actually smart to not pay in for retirement. maybe he knew he would never live that long or made uncounsously sure that he would never reach it due to his lifestyle choices
Regarding all his opportunities. I really wonder how many of those opportunities were real. Wrestling in the early 90s was brutal, he would have never achieved anything since just being big and maybe decent on the microphone was just not enough anymore. Besides, most wrestlers lived in their cars, no insurance, nothing. So not going into Wrestling was probably a good move. He achieved more fame due to youtube than he would have ever had with Wrestling. In the best case he would have been one of thousands no longer known jobbers.
Also his military time is way overblown. First, his story of getting thrown out changed over time. Once it was due to have a pencil in the nose and then kick a black belt older man’s ass. Remember how Lenny looked at 17 (!!!), just a thin BOY. Secondly, he was not really enlsited, since he was 17 and was only there for couple months, cause he returned then home and lived with his grandmother, cause his father is a psychopath, to finish high school. So his whole “military career” was just another overexaggerted lenny story.
Acting? Come on, that was never a viable option.
Aladdin, I think he really took him for everything he was able to get in the end. Aladdin also paid for his lawyer costs when he had his molly incident.
But yeah, Lenny was his own worst enemy. He himself sabotaged his life on every opportunity. Ironic, that his only way to fame came via a medium he barely understood and via a gym buddy and without really Lenny having to contribute much. I also say, that if Lenny did not have his huge strange deadly gut, he would have never gotten that much fame. It was the whole weird package that drew people in.
And yeah, I also agree with you m’lake, in that sense that his father and whole fucked up family dynamic destroyed him.
