Yates and Levrone had some serious death face.
They looked like handsome squidward lmao

These modern day bodybuilders have that weird glossy and flat look compared to guys like
I hate the proportions of bodybuilders ever since the mass monster era.
Their back and upper legs look so absurdly big that their calves, forearms and arms look tiny regardless of how big they are. Even 20in arms look small on them.
The golden era guys looked so much better.
To be honest I cannot really see the difference to the look 10 ys ago. But I am not into Bodybuilding, I love working out (going to war) my whole life, but I always feel second hand embarassment when I see these roided up half-a-fags standing in a line at a beauty contest, getting rated by full-a-fayugs.
For me the mass monster era started with Dorian Yates and fully solidified with Coleman. Itâs been ruined for like 3 decades.
These bodybalders all look the same to me.
Like you i just like to lift. I dont care about posing damn near naked on stage for geriatric judges who have never lifted a weight in their life.
Thats something I wondered, are they just so old and geriatric, but were lifters âback in the dayâ or are they really non-lifters? What qualifies them to be judges?
I have seen podcasts where one of the hosts is a judge and a former pro, Greg Douchette is a former pro and a judge. So I believe a lot of IFBB judges are former pros
nick walker is peak âinsta vs realityâ when u see him on stage. narrow af even with the crazy synthol delts. shouldnât even be top 10.
hadi should have won it politic
Built like a deck of cards. Hes flat, and boxy
I think most of them were DYEL because of no diet discipline mixed with shitty training philosophy. Chuck is a prime example. Dude was decently strong but would do 1000s of reps of tricep extensions and felt like shit all the time/looked depressed lol
Brad is just a manlet on TRT so his bench was ok.
Everyone of the misfits except Jay and Dale trained like shit, somehow they still managed to bench 315 for reps like Synthol Mark and Janoy (who did it legit for one at least). Feelscold
Shows that even training like a retard you can still end up looking pretty good if you keep showing up and being consistent. Chuck, synthol marc, janoy all had decent physiques or characteristics, at least compared to the average non lifting cookie cutter, just by doing that. And I know janoy and Marc dabbled in gear but neither of them were hardcore about it, Jason was probably shooting water half the time anyways lol
Chuck looked really good for how terrible his training was.
I think Mark trained ok considering his issues from his past surgery.
I never saw Mark do much other than curls
He did bench, curls and some rows. Maybe some lat pulldowns too.
Anything that put much pressure on his lower back or his glutes would hurt him.
All things considered he was jacked as hell. But his godly forearms and arms are mostly genetics like he said cuz his grandpa never lifted and still had huge forearms he said.
he really did. ofc he was on roids like everyone else - except andrew at this time and the old folks.
Mark also had his ass-back-cyst which kept him from doing lots of exercises, mostly legs and back.
Chuck in the early days wasnt on roids. Itâs been confirmed by Brayud.
Brad is an unreliable narrator.
When you remove roids out of the equation, lifting is 99% genetics and consistency once basic nutrition and sleep are achieved.
âOptimalâ training/nutrition makes almost no discernable difference.
Just look at Marc Steubs who is dumber than jason.
Dude benched 3 plates and deadlifted close to 600 with 0 knowledge and not much training.
He casually outlifted blaha without even trying and without roids.
Lifting is both great and terrible in certain wayzzzz. Terrible because genetics matter a lot. But great because all you need to do is show up consistently and just lift to get almost all you can out of it. No need to think much. Just common sense.
