Wow, heard him talk for about 15 seconds and he’s got it all - similar look, his speech cadence, vocabulary. Only difference is this guy has done something with his life and doesn’t appear to be as big of a phony intellectual as Lan. Honestly Lan seems to be doing a cheap impression of this guy
He also had actual mental health problems, otherwise you don’t kill yourself as a successful author. He also banged a ton female fans on his book tours, Ian would never be able to do something like that.
