Sequels tend to be disappointing. All the misfits got old and kinda lame. Jason is an obese soon to be middle-aged retard. Lenny turned out to be the biggest cookie cutter of them all and his body is falling apart. Jay is menty but also knocking on heaven’s door. Brad is a bloated alcoholic. Big Richard is dead. Sol is dead. Many of the original cast moved onto other things years ago. No Mike. No Chuck. No Emma. No Will. No Jennifer. No Liz. No Mark. No Dale. Bodybuilding nowadays is a different world than at the Delray Misfits’ peak. A second Blackstone Labs saga isn’t gonna happen. Jason isn’t relevant anymore. He’s not gonna get any free coathes. No more Adam Harper or Karen.
You’re never gonna be able to recreate the same vibe as before. Jason was motivated and full of energy as well as delusions. He genuinely thought he was gonna become a pro slash bodybuilder powerlifter. Lenny genuinely thought this was his chance too. There was this… positive energy to their videos. You wanted to believe even though you knew they were delusional as fuck. There’s also way too much drama nowadays to make it work. Too many things have been said that can’t be undone.
