Am I alone on this? I think watching sports is the ultimate cookie cutter litmus test. I just don’t get how people care so much. I would never willingly watch a 3 hour football game. Seems like a distraction and a waste of time.

Lenny even admitted it was cookie cutter and a vice of his

Funny - I always felt like an outcast my entire life about not caring about mainstream sports and its a relief to relate to everything fellow maniacs are saying here. It cut from different clothening.

Couldn’t find the words to explain it but you nailed it in that second sentence. Grown men explaining to other grown men that they dont understand the commitment and athletic abilities of these young guys is so fuckin gay. Im convinced they want their wife to get fucked by these athletes. And this is coming from a sports fan.

Some of them idolize these sportsball players so much they would gladly offer them a go on their wives.

You cant tell me these MMA “insiders” wouldn’t love to watch their wife get a gangbang from some UFC champions unfortunately

I feel the same way about TV shows. The amount of time and investment people put into it is crazy. Spending all week looking forward to seeing what happens next in your “show”. Pathetic. Only exception is The Sopranos unfortunately.

“A game of pool” is my favorite one. My second favorite is “Walking distance” the one where the guy goes back in time to his childhood when he visits him home town

A great quote comes from that episode “A Game of Pool” from Johnathan Winters, “Nothing is impossible, some things are just more likely that others that’s all.” My personal favorite is “The Dummy” I’ve seen it so many times I could write out the script. Little Girl Lost is great, The Masks, The Last Exhibit…what a great show.

You have good taste. Many of those episodes were ominous in a creepy subtle way. The great writing from that show is lost in modern times

Had to make my own twilight zone video in 7th grade. In preparation our class watched some original twilight zone. Pretty good stuff, I enjoyed it a lot. Had fun (hear that BRAD?!) with the project too.

No you are completely right about it, I cannot for the life of me understand why people care so much about people throwing a ball around for 20 seconds at a time and watching thousands of commercials every Sunday. I am one of those that called it cookie cutter in one of Lennys videos and he admitted it, he liked to pick on golf in the past but football got a pass. It’s like a mass induced psychosis for the home team in my area and it’s annoying.

I’m trying to understand the psychology of it. Group think? Living vicariously? I feel like the bodybuilding community is different because 99.99 percent of bodybuilding fans are also amateur or wanna be pro bodybuilders themselves. While sports fans just sit around getting drunk and eating junk food

People will waste hours of their time and tons of money and they get nothing out of it. It’s like chewing gum for your mind. At least if you do something else that’s pretty much a waste of time like watching a 3 hour movie there might be a little artistic merit or something that makes you think

Ironically was a sports cuck until the BLM stuff, used to collect vintage jersys, sold them all at a profit lol. I still watch local amateur team, but once pro teams started kneeling and holding protests for a dead American junkie it just woke me up. Just agitprop plain and simple, the gay pride shit, the overt cuckoldry in the advertising. The consumerism, spamming shit constantly, just cant remove myself from the equation and enjoy it anymore. Same with TV shows etc. Cant unsee the message.

    Thanks George Floyd!

Some of it stems from growing up in a family that watches it. Some played it themselves growing up and then kept watching even after they quit playing. For me, I always loved playing basketball when I was younger. Always watched highlights and got into watching full games around high school time. It’s just a nice little escape from the shit that is my/our life. It’s fun to get so into a specific team and always keep up with injury updates and offseason moves. Also gives you something to talk about if some cookiecutter comes up to you in the gym and wants to shoot the shit. “HOW AM I DOING??”

Lenny will make fun of you for playing video games then go watch 3 hours of grown sweaty men tackle each other over a ball huehuehue it goofy. Unfortunately, not stimulating enough for me. They say there’s what, like 20 mins of actual play time in a 3 hour football game? Wow, can’t wait.

The only “sport” that I regularly watch online is just street fighting/mma/boxing vids.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy casually playing common sports as well, but the team and pro player obsessions and fandoms are pretty tarded. If you have enough time to follow that shit, then you probably aren’t juggling a good routine with a full time job.

Casual fans and irregular attendees aren’t who I’m talking about, I am more so referring to those weirdos who base their life around NFL, NBA, WWE (lol), etc.
