Also, anyone else noticed that Ian’s excuse for not being able to work has gone from depression and ADHD to having “no fixed address”? Which one is it Ian? As long as it’s not your fault right? Presumably he’s burned all his bridges or he expects more than just a couch (twin or larger bed, air conditioned, given food and energy drinks, room has to have a TV). I know that if I was real down on my luck, I could probably think of 2 dozen family members and friends I could go to to help me out while I get back on my feet, maybe more. Ian has done so much damage he literally has no one. And he still won’t admit any of it is his fault.

He can’t beg on the street because then he can’t pretend to be an intellectual and it’s too “below him”, never mind I don’t think people would give to a guy in dress clothes and a jacket. Ian has dug himself into such a deep hole I don’t even think he can get out of it honestly. Sooner or later he’ll be forced to stay in shelters and go to soup kitchens. And at that point his ability to get a job drops even further (not like he wants one now anyways). Had he taken a look in the mirror a couple months ago he could’ve found a couch with a friend, and stayed for a few weeks/months while he worked some shit job just to get on his feet. Now that is basically impossible. He’ll have a couple more weeks of hotel living and e begging before that well runs dry too

That’s a fair assesment. He acts like he has the life experience, education and skill of someone who worked for it. He just bought a cheap sports jacket and uses a post high school language level in a country where the standard if grade 5. It’s a delusion, and he won’t get better until he understands that he has to start waaaaaay lower than where he thinks he is.
The thing is it wouldn’t even be that difficult for him to get his life back on track. He just needs to shoot some test, get off whatever pills he’s taking.
