I remember being high and thinking every single loud voice or car door slamming outside is the police coming to get me. This is probably the next level to that psychosis and the paranoa never leaves.

I know the feeling. I was 100% sure the police helicopter was above my house the first time I tried edible thc. Was scared as fuck because I had a ton of steroids in the house lol.

@Impisster
link
32M

lol yeah same for me, I was more worried that they discovered how I obtained the drugs and everything else I was doing with them. Not that I was in my apartment getting high by myself.

Normally all those fears I dismissed because I was “careful” and “no one could figure it out”, but once I got high that stubbornness was gone and the risks grew.

Playhardtolittleget
link
32M

It’s very funny to think and talk about after, but damn it is scary while it’s going on. I was in jail for 30 days for a crime I didn’t commit and got some money from the goverment as pology, so I knew where I would end up if they actually caught me with my stash. So that made it a lot more scary than if I had never been to jail. Specially since I was innocent. I thought they were gonna get me again for some shit I had nothing to to with. I hid under the bed and took a bunch of Valium to try and get to sleep as fast as possible to escape it lol. I’ve never dared to touch that stuff again, even tho I loved it when it didn’t give me the crazy paranoia.

@Impisster
link
32M

Ya I’d have wild paranoia about jail too if I was sent there innocent. And if I had a past record or something. I remember when I did ayahuasca the woman next to me kept asking if noises were the police, I just kept calming her down and not really thinking about it. She wasn’t a drug user though normally.

I was front page news too. I lost my girlfriend for 6 years, my job, my house, 90% of my so called friends. And when I got out and had papers to prove I did nothing wrong, nobody cared. They fucked my life up so bad it took years to fix it. In Norway you can sue the police, but you can never win, so it’s no use. They protect each other. So that was never an option. And the papers didn’t make me front page when the verdict said I was innocent of course. Fucking scumbags. So any type of psychedelic drugs scares the shit out of me, and I get that feeling from edibles.

@Impisster
link
32M

Sorry to hear that. All I have is what I worked for, and for that to be taken away I’d be devastated. Very difficult to start all over again and succeed like you did. Going through that and reclaiming what you lost is very honorable and I’m sure it provided a lot of good insights into reality and people. I know that doesn’t make it worth it or get the lost time back, but at least it’s something no one else has.

Playhardtolittleget
link
42M

Thank you for the kind words. I learned a alot from what happened that I am grateful for, but I still wish It didn’t happen. I’m a master at seeing how people really are, and very few can fool me. And that is a very good trait I didn’t have before. So it’s a lot easier for me to tell if someone actually wants to be my friend or is just fake like the rest. Plus it made me apprecite life on another level, and learned that no amount of money is worth going to prison for. So it did me some good too. But like you said it’s very hard to reclaim what you lost, I never succeeded. But I guess higher powers felt bad for me because one day I woke up and had made a fortune on Bitcoin. So I can live the rest of my life in peace and try to forget about all the negativity that happened during that time.

I live in a town with only 10 000 people so you can imagine how fast it spread that I was in prison. And how people looked at me when I got out. Now I don’t care at all what anyone thinks because I’m 100% free to do whatever I want and the fact that they know I made a lot of money gives me great pleasure. I learned to love myself and appreciate the things in life that people take for granted(cheesy I know) but it actually is like that. So I don’t spend much money and waste away like most would if they got lucky with lottery or crypto. I live just like everyone else. But I answer to noone.

@Impisster
link
32M

I didn’t go to prison or have things taken or my reputation, but I did waste about 8 years between the military and then going to college after, so I can relate about feeling like you can distinguish real people from fake people now. I feel I missed out on a lot, but whatever I can make happen now will be better and more genuine.

I didn’t get rich, but I doubled my military savings on marijuana stocks and it was overnight, which I used to go to college. I wasn’t a crazy spender but I did waste a lot trying to fulfill my life the wrong ways. I’m guilty I didn’t’ help my father more with the money at the time, but I make ok money now and doing my best to make up for it.

And I live a regular life too, no debt, and I’m not trying to impress anyone or build my social status. Those years are gone and could have gone better, but whatever lessons and blessings we got after can provide whatever we didn’t get before.

As they thought I was the most powerful man in the economic system of the drug trade, I was the only person in the entire prison that was locked down 23 hours a day, and was allowed 1 hour to go outside in a concrete box, which I never did. So I was locked down 24/7. All other prisoners could walk around and talk and socialize during the day at the prison I was in. It was only around 40 cells. If I wanted to take a shower, they had to lock down the entire prison, lock up all other prisoners and 2 officers would take me to the shower. Atleast they didn’t watch me in the shower, I had a private room. I could pay to get a tv in my cell, which probably was the only thing that kept me sane. At the time I got locked up the world championship for biathlon started and that is my favorite sport, and Norway did amazing. So I managed to escape into that world while it lasted. Rest of the time I just had to watch normal boring tv. But atleast it was better than nothing. Forgot to mention that when you are in the category of prisoner like I was, you are not allowed to call anyone, my mother saw it on the news. I was not allowed to call her and tell her where I was. So my lawyer had to tell her about how I handled it and why on earth I was even in there, because she knows everything about me, we are every close. So she knew it was all lies from the police.

Not inappropiate at all, I was innocent after all. I got accused of being the economic head for many of the biggest drug “lords” in the country. They thought I was the one that knew how to clean the money and all that kind of stuff. The problem was they had no evidence whatsoever. They arrested 500 people in this case, and 95% were innocent working people. The police raided schools and arrested teachers infront of the students. They arrested people at their workplace, no though was given to how much this would ruin these peoples lives. Just mindless idiots playing cops. The normal rule in Norway when you arrest people is that they come in sivilian clothes and arrest you at your home, and never infront of kids or anyone else. But in this case they just went bananas. It was very embarrassing for them, because they never got what they were after. Many detectives were fired, including the one that was responsible for puttin me in jail. I can understand if many of you don’t believe what I am about to write, but the only thing they had on me, was my online nickname written on a note on the computer of a steroid dealer together with some numbers of what he had made that month. So for some reason they thought I was his boss, and everybody elses that are in the business. My lawyer destroyed them so hard in court it was amazing. Shows how clueless some of these idiots can be, and how little they care about what happens to the person they arrest.

I wrote the whole story below. It’s very rare things like this happen in Norway. We usually have a very good system, but this time it failed miserable.

Playhardtolittleget
link
22M

Wow you did ayahuasca, I’ve been obsessed with that for a long time, but know I will never be tough enough to try it myself. How was your experience?

@Impisster
link
22M

It’s basically like a high dose of mushrooms, but it lasts for 24 hours and lingering effects for days. I had really positive experiences with it every time, and it makes you think life is going to be magical and great the rest of your life, but like any drug once the high wears off all that wisdom and appreciation you think you have now also goes with it.

The group I was with, some of them were throwing up and having a real bad time on it, which of course lasted for hours and hours. Some were screaming etc. Maybe it was all my mushroom and weed experience, but it was smooth sailing for me and just made me feel great.

Now the other drug we did called huachuma/san pedro I guess is more like LCD which I’ve never done before, I felt miserable, uncomfortable and sick the entire time. Anti-social and terrible. Most everyone else was laughing and enjoying themselves.

It’s unpredictable, if you like mushrooms maybe you will like it though. All I can say is it felt similar to it but stronger and longer lasting.

Playhardtolittleget
link
22M

Yikes 24 hours, that a long time if you get a bad trip. Sounds like you got very lucky since you had such a nice time. I’m glad you mentioned that the wisdom wears off, because I have always been under the impression that it last forever. And that’s how they promote it. Not I have no interest at all of doing it, even tho I would never dare anyway. But now I can tell my brother to stay away because he wants to travel and do it because he thinks it will show him the way and give him wisdom to heal himself that will last for the rest of his life. I’m scared it will go the other way, and he will destroy himself. I love hearing stores like this, thanks for sharing!

@Impisster
link
22M

You’re welcome, and I’m glad to hear maybe it can help your brother! I did each drug about 3-4 times, all times were good on the ayahuasca and all times were bad on the LSD one. I don’t think it was just the trip, it was just how I was able to deal with the feeling.

He can get everything that ayahuasca can do from mushrooms. I thought both ayahuasca and mushrooms provided “healing” but truly it wears off after a couple days. Eventually you are going to go back to your default programming, the chemicals get in there and change things temporarily. but they market these things as permanent, and most of the people who market it to you do the ayuaschsa on a regular basis or just got done doing it, so how would they know!

And I traveled to ecuador to do it, waste of time and money.

I was on Valium for 6 years and my tollerance got so high that the drug stopped working, I would take 100mgs and nothing happened, tried everything, but I just couldnt get anything good out of it. And the doctor said he was not allowed to give me more than 100 pills every two weeks. I was on Xanax, Valium, and massive doses of Oxycodone like 3-400mgs a day. I was a real junkie, but nobody knew except my family because I just used when I was at my house alone. It was not a financial problem for me so I never had to do anything illegal to get stuff, and didn’t look like a junkie. So when I tell my old friends when I meet them from time to time they have no idea and almost don’t believe me. Anyway my mother came one day and said I got two choices, never see her our my little sister again, or quit. So the choice was pretty simple, but it was a hard road to walk, but I’m very glad I did. Because I would for sure be dead if not.

Goverment didn’t hook me, I started because I was very depressed and felt lonely, but when I took Valium I felt like king of the world and didn’t care about anyone else. Now I can take stuff from time to time and not feel the need for more the next day, which is very nice. So a few times a year I can have some real fun without any problem. What is your dosage like if you’ve been on for so long? Does it even work?

That’s the paranoia for you, very normal, especially if you’re not a regular smoker or aren’t in a good state of mind

@Impisster

I smoked it daily for about 3 years. Then afterward just a couple times a year, it would happen when it was infrequent.

The reason it made me feel vulnerable/paranoid is because it seems to dissolve any kind of rational judgements I make. For example, I would feel real confident at work busting my bosses balls and giving any shit he gave me right back to him, but the day after I would smoke “I’m not risking it man”.

I feel safe taking “risks” when I’m sober minded based off whatever logic gets me there, once I get high there is no judgment or logical conclusions, which is great for going with the flow in a social situation and being open to things. But anything stressful or unknown danger, better to be sober and feel more in control of things.

@YouriNRemco
link
42M

A lot of truth here. I’m a regular smoker, took like a 2 month break, and when I came back I also experienced some predictable paranoia (though it could also be the intensity of the high due to lower tolerance). Learning “how to be high” is also important, if that makes any sense

@Impisster
link
22M

Ya I know what you mean. I use to hate when I couldn’t sleep without it, that’s the main reason I never want to make it a habit again. I could enjoy the smaller things in life when I was high, and I do appreciate that. But it kind of fucked up the bigger picture of my life and instead of adapting my life to have better circumstances, I was just getting high all the time.

It gave me the attention span to sit through a lot of lectures I normally would not have enjoyed or stuck through, both in college and just online topics that helped me. So I do appreciate that, it did help to be productive in certain wayz. but my personal life was not productive long-term.

I just get too addicted to it and smoke all day and can’t control myself. I want to smoke as soon as I wake up and any time I have to do something boring like grocery shop, talk to people I don’t like, go basically anywhere.

After I quit too I lost all motivation to workout. It jut wasn’t anywhere near enjoyable and I became lazy. Took a long time to get back into the habit and get my muscle back. I also developed a shitty diet because I tried to fill the enjoyment I guess from smoking. Not really low quality food but I was eating more than I did before.

People didn’t notice with me either unless they knew to look at my bloodshot eyes. But I “functioned” enough to get my degree and things like that, but socially having to maintain the high all the time constantly stopping to smoke or go home to smoke, getting irritable and anti-social when I ran out or couldn’t smoke, and just feeling like a bad influence or messed up to normal people, these things I know hurt my personal life.

But if I were to have to sit home all day with nothing to do, then it improved my personal life.

Yeah I would never waste it for the doctor’s office. My favorite was to use it for something otherwise boring where you have to sit and listen to other people talk for long periods of time. When your tolerance gets that high, you really aren’t getting those good highs anymore where it’s quick and sudden. You kind of are “always high”, and then just smoke to get a rise and maintain. I was smoking 1-2 ounces a month depending on how weak it was.

Well maybe we agree to an extent, I do think you learn to get use to the feeling. But my point was that knowledge doesn’t carry over for me after being sober for 1 year. The paranoa comes back because my life is different and I lose the familiarity with being high.

But learning that I’m not actually going to die when my breathing feels crazy or my body temperature shifts, or I start shaking too much, ya I’m a bit calmer about that now. But the physical effects still freak me out even though I smoked for 3 years.

And ya it’s definitely highly addictive. Some people genuinely don’t like the feeling though, so I guess it isn’t for them, and I think they just got afraid on it and didn’t give it a chance.

Sex on weed is really good even if the girl is not attractive and you aren’t even into her emotionally. It really seemed too good to be true and had no negative side effects from what I could see. In retrospect, maybe it just made me addicted to sex and not have the desire for relationships.

Specially when I hear about the candy shops you guys have with different types giving you a different high. Must be so much more fun. Every drug is alot more expensive here than any other country because we have extremely good boarder protection. It’s a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. Every single item coming from another country in the mail will be opened and checked, so it’s no use trying to order anything online. So it’s all on people growing their own or coming across with boat or car/truck. And they get stopped very very often. So it’s never overflowing with weed, which makes it more expensive.
